Visa for crew members

You apply at the French Consulate in Miami if you live in Florida, Puerto Rico, the Bahamas, the US Virgin Islands, the Cayman Islands, Turks and Caicos.

American citizens, crew members, have to get a visa to be able to go to France, on duty. This rule is applicable to corporate crew members.

IT IS MANDATORY TO SET UP AN APPOINTMENT ONLINE TO GET A VISA.

IMPORTANT: The visa section does not accept original documents by mail or fax.
The originals have to be brought by the applicant to the scheduled interview with one set of photocopies per applicant. (This Consulate does not make any copy).
This Consulate declines any responsibility in case of lost original documents.

  • A passport valid for at least six months beyond the applicant’s last day of stay in the Schengen area (+ 1 copy of the identification page).
    Please make sure your passport has a blank page to affix the visa.
  • 1 short stay application form. Please indicate your phone numbers and e-mail.

  • An official letter from your airline company, with your name, date of birth and position within the company.
  • A copy of your crew member ID.
