Short-stay visas for PERUVIAN CITIZENS

Since March 15, 2016, Peruvian citizens do NOT NEED to apply for a SHORT-STAY visa to go to the SCHENGEN AREA or to Martinique, Guadeloupe or French Guiana,
(See the "Short stay visa for tourism, business or family visit" section to get more information)

However, they WILL STILL NEED a visa to go to :

- Reunion and St Pierre et Miquelon unless they have a diplomatic or special passport (see the "Short stay visa for Martinique, Guadeloupe, St Martin, St Barthelemy, French Guiana, Reunion" section for more information)

- French Polynesia and New Caledonia (see the "Short stay visa for French Polynesia and New Caledonia" section for more information)

- Saint-Martin and Saint-Barthélemy

- and for long stays.

If they go to the Schengen area for a short stay to work, they will need to have an temporary work permit approved by the DIRECCTE (= Direction Régionale des Entreprises, de la Concurrence, de la Consommation, du Travail et de l’Emploi = French Labour Department) if the French law requires it. See DIRECCTE
