During this first weeklong technology exposition labelled eMerge Americas, 150 speakers are addressing the impact of technology on lifestyle, urban development, education, health and research in the presence of 200 participating companies and more than 100 startups.
Three French exhibitors joined this first Techweek: Blue Eye Video, Game Connection and Web Population Group.
- Blue Eye Video: The Innovative Queue Management
Created in 2003, French company Blue Eye Video located in Grenoble focuses on technological innovation in the domain of customer behavior analysis.
Their queue management solution is a software solution using video cameras and people counters to monitor in real-time the wait times at queues in crowd environment. It offers management solutions to airports, security companies, stadiums, leisure parks and transportation stakeholders.
The company also aims to analyze customers’ paths or stores attendances.
Thanks to these monitoring, passengers or customers can know how long they will spend in queues to avoid stressful situations.
After being used in the International Airports of Charles de Gaulle and Dubai, the system was implemented in Washington Dulles Airport in 2012. The company has thereby become the first to equip American Airports with an automatic system that measures and predicts waiting time.
Blue Eye Video ranked number 26 in Deloitte Technology Fast 50 France in 2012.
- Game Connection, A platform for the video game industry
Game Connection is a business conference for the video game industry.
In a nutshell, it is an international market for video game developers looking to expand their network and find new partners.
The story of Game Connection began in 2001, when Pierre Carde, former director of Lyon Game and now CEO of Connection Events decided to implement a conference for the video game industry.
The first conference, which took place in Lyon in December 2001, attracted more than 27 sponsors and 20 international French publishers. Since this marker, Game Connection Europe has assembled a growing number of companies now reaching 45.
This success led Game Connection to sign a partnership with the Game Developers Conference in 2014, which led the conference in Silicon Valley, giving rise to Game Connection America.
Since then, California has become the second meeting place of Game Connection, first hosting the event in San Jose and San Francisco. Today, Game Connection, which is no longer affiliated with Game Developers for its U.S. edition, continues to grow in terms of participants.
This led Connection Events, the event’s organizer, to extend its offer by adding to its traditional formula B2B a whole series of lectures and master classes.
