Building the teams of tomorrow in a global world
Marc Onetto, former COO of Amazon, led teams that are worldwide disseminated; their success and effectiveness is reflected by the millions of orders received each day around the world at the right place and the right time!
Patrick Dupuis, as the CFO of PayPal, a company whose services have completely eliminated the barriers, he understands the great complexities associated with the management of teams at a global level.
Romaine Seguin, president of UPS Americas Region, based in Miami will join this exceptional panel discussion.
The debate is moderated by Jerry Haar, leader of FIU’s Pino Global Entrepreneurship.
"Building Successful Global Teams in the 21st Century New Economy" is the theme that will be discussed by the guests, an economic roundtable to which you are invited to participate on November 15, at the Beacon Council.
- Marc Onetto, former Deputy Director of International Operations of the online superstore "Amazon.com", started at Exxon/Esso after completing his studies at Centrale Lyon and Carnegie Melon University in Pittsburgh. After spending some time in the medical division of General Electric, a company then managed by global guru Jack Welch, he joined Amazon, another company with undisputed international success.
During an interview, Marc Onetto, who was then-Senior Vice President in charge of Global Operations and Customer Service, said that his work "borrows the very positive mode of expression of American management, and combines it with the French analytical management mode," a combination that has been already proven successful.
- Patrick Dupuis is the current Chief Financial Officer of eBay PayPal group.
Also trained in Lyon, France, in the School of Management, Mr. Dupuis has 25 years experience in financial divisions of large companies operating specifically in the field of health insurance. For him, PayPal reflects the business model of the future.
Both speakers will be in Miami for the North American Forum of the Alumni of "Centrale" and of Lyon’s School of Management.
This premiere, which is under the patronage of French Minister Helene Conway-Mouret symbolizes the increasing role of the alumni networks of top-ranking higher education organizations (grandes écoles) in global affairs.
Join this roundtable discussion on Friday, November 15th in Miami, at the Beacon Council facilities from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
Location: Beacon Council , 80 SW 8th Street, Suite 2400, Miami, FL 33130
