While jazz’s history goes as far back as 1910 in New Orleans, in the well-known French Riviera’s town of Nice, jazz has been a part of its musical culture since 1948.
Notable acts that have performed at the Nice Jazz Festival have included Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, and Al Grey, just to name a few.

The Nice Jazz Festival has catapulted itself onto the international stage, joining forces with Miami, its sister city since 1963, in order to create Miami Nice Jazz Festival in 2012.

This year’s festival is set to begin on October 23rd, 2013, and will go on until November 10th, 2013.

In Miami, there are a variety of locations already set to receive the various jazz talents, including the Conrad Hotel in Miami, the Van Dyke Cafe in South Beach, the South Miami Dade Cultural Arts Center, and of course the Olympia Theater at the Gusman Center for the Performing Arts, the jewel of local entertainment facilities.
