Ten WWII Veterans awarded the Legion of Honor in Boynton Beach

Ten American veterans who fought alongside France during World War II were made "Chevalier dans l’Ordre National de la Legion d’Honneur", Knight of the Legion of Honor, in Boynton Beach on February 5th, the highest French recognition.

The ceremony took place in the Jewish Temple Beth Kodesh in Boynton Beach. The Veterans received their award from Ms. Nicole Hirsh, Vice-President of the American Society of the French Legion of Honor in the presence of the Consul General of France in Miami, Mr. Gaël de Maisonneuve and the Congressman Allan West.
