A new direction for the French-American Chamber of Commerce of Florida
This new year has brought some changes at the top of The Franco-American Chamber of Commerce of Florida. After a brief but most welcomed assignment, Cecile MELANIE left the organization a few weeks ago. Nevertheless, we had enough time to assess her enthusiasm and other professionnal and personnal qualities.
Private and family projects are around the corner for Cecile so we would like to express oiur gratitude and wish all the best to her.
The new Executive Director, Laure McKAY, took over early January.
Laure is a graduate of Euromed School of Management in Marseille, France. She is also a graduate of the Business School of the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a major in Marketing.
Laure started her professional career in 2006 where she worked for Expoships LLLP in Bonita Springs, Florida, organizing art fair exhibition cruises for international art galleries. In 2007, she worked for EVS-Nespresso as an Account Manager for luxury hotels and for the Wine depot & bistro 555 in Miami.
In 2008, she moved to Toronto, Canada where she worked as an Account Manager for Whirlpool and KitchenAid. She moved back to Michigan and finally settled in Miami in December 2010. She previously was the Marketing & Events Director at a wine store/restaurant in Miami Beach.
Laure is married to Chad McKAY.
With the ambition to build on the current dynamism of the Chamber, Laure will work on the program that the new President, Christophe MAINCOURT, detailed for us a few months ago.
