French as a Native Language (FLAM): the campaign promoting the program is launched
The Agency for French Teaching Abroad (AEFE) is launching its campaign to promote the program FLAM (French as Native Language). Applications, available on the website http://www.aefe.fr/dossier-de-demande-de-subvention-flam-francais-langue-maternelle-2013, must be submitted before February 11, 2013 to the Embassy of France to Washington.
This program is designed for the French expatriate community.
The classes are held for a minimum number of 10 students of French nationality (or bi-national) and students from other nationalities. The minimum age required is 5 and the maximum age is 16.
Only a non-profit association is eligible for the program FLAM and it may be governed by French law (Act 1901) or local law and by the parents of the pupils concerned. Funding from the Agency AEFE is intended to help organizations set up the project. This support is gradually reduced and does not exceed 5 years.
