Medal of Honor of the French Foreign Affairs for Elena Landa
Passionate about French language and culture, Elena Landa taught for 26 years at the Alliance francaise of Puerto Rico in San Juan.
Several years, she also gave courses in French and Spanish in Robinson School located in Condado.
Until 2011, she also assisted the Honorary Consul of France in Puerto Rico in his duties, a job requiring regular contact with the Consulate General of France in Miami. At this position, she also informed our citizens of Porto Rico over 10 years.
Since she was Social Secretary, Embassy of France in Havana, Cuba from 1981 to 1997, she brought to the consular office in San Juan all her knowledge.
On November 19, 2011, the Consul General of France in Miami thanked her for her dynamism and her work by presenting her with the Medal of Honor of the Foreign Affairs.
