The Ambassador of France to the United States, His Excellency Pierre Vimont, visited Miami November 11th and 12th to take part in the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Consulate General of France in Miami and on the occasion of the third edition of French Week Miami(November 4-24).

His Excellency Pierre Vimont attended a reception at the Wolfsonian Museum with a sensual time-based performance “Le Vin des Minutes” by French artist Laurent Moriceau whose projects lend themselves to sensual poetics and often amusing events inviting the spectator to reinvent the artistic process and offering artistic encounters in different domains. The reception was held under the auspices of the Canadian, French and Italian Consulates.

The French-American Chamber of Commerce of Florida (FACC Florida) along with the support of numerous partners and the Consulate General of France in Miami have prepared several weeks of events celebrating the French presence in Florida.
The “Chambers luncheon” was an exceptional opportunity to discuss the “Investment opportunities in France” in which Ambassador Pierre Vimont was the guest speaker.

The Grand Opening of the Délégation Générale de l’Alliance Française in the U.S. took place Friday afternoon in presence of the Ambassador and Miami Mayor Tomas Regalado.

The Delegation serves as a network of Alliances françaises and offers cultural programming and development funding as well as pedagogical support in partnership with the the cultural services of the French Embassy in the United States. This event was followed by the preview of the exhibition “Soupe d’escargot” in the Alliance Française South Florida.

In celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Consulate General of France in Miami and the third edition of the French Week Miami, the Miami Tower was radiating Blue, White, and Red during 3 days.
This night, on its terrace, the French Ambassador awarded the "artistic engineer" Olivier Haligon that became "Chevalier des Arts et Lettres".
